About Everest Base Camp Trek

Everest Base Camp Trek may be a dream to every adventure lover. Since 1999 trekking has been popular worldwide. Every year hundreds to thousands of travelers visit these regions, especially during spring and autumn.

The Everest Region is situated in the Sagarmatha National Park rich in natural beauties, admiring mountains, breath-taking rivers, local cultures and flora and fauna. You may also encounter some wild animals and birds like Musk Deer, Himalayan Thar, Himalayan Moonal, and different floras. Also, you can experience astounding mountain views, explore the glimpses of the life style of Sherpa community. Twelve to fourteen days of trek to Everest Base Camp offers to visit the Sherpa Capital Namche Bazaar as well as the villages of Thame, Khumjung, Pangboche, Pheriche and Kunde. The famous Buddhist monastery at Tengboche is a remarkable part of the trek for the spiritual people.Kalapathar stands at the height of 5,545m, which is the ultimate destination of the trek, popularly known as Everest view point.

In addition to this, the journey takes about 30 minutes of flight from Kathmandu valley to Lukla. There are various available well-managed hotels, teahouses and local lodge for the interested. It takes minimum of 2-3 hour to 5-6 hours to reach the every stationof the overnight spending hotels. However, there are lots of hotels and teahouses on the way, where you can sip a cup of tea and coffee of the local flavor. There’s Internet service available at every hotel and lodge for the convenience. Also, do not worry about phone connection and electric charge (Solar).

Welcome at Airport and Transfer to Hotel, A short briefing at Hotel with presence of your trekking guide.

    Visit some of the heritage sites of Kathmandu and final trip preparation.

      This is first day of trekking, starts from Lukla, which is 30 minutes flight from Kathamndu and 2-3 hr trek to reach Phakding.

        It is one of the longest day of trek, takes 6-7 hr from Phakding to Namche Bazar. The way is continuous walk crossing from green forest and village.

            Namche Bazar to Tengboche (3,870m/12,694ft) 10km, 5- 6 hours.

              Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360 m/14,300 ft) 9km, 5 - 6 hours.

                Acclimatization day at Dingboche. (4,360M) hike to Nagarjung Hill

                  Dingboche  to Lobuche (4,940 m/16,207 ft) 4km, 4-5 hours.

                    Lobuche to GorakShep (5,170 m/16,961ft), visit Everest Base Camp (5,364 m/17,594 ft) 13km, 6-7 hours.

                      GorakShep to Kala Patthar (5,545m/18,192ft)and trek down to Pherice (4,288m/14,070ft) 16km, 7-8 hours.

                        Pheriche to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,280 ft) 20km, 6 - 7 hours.

                          Namche Bazar to Lukla (2,860m/9,186ft) 19km, 6 - 7 hours.
