About Manaslu Circuit Trek

Manaslsu Circuit Trek is one of the less crowded but have enormous potential of natural attractions, dazzling mountains, waterfalls and breathtaking river. The trek takes you to the base camp of world’s 8th highest mountain Manaslu. The Manaslu region is also the hub of mountaineering and climbing. The trekking and climbing mobility has been started after the successful summit of Mt.Manaslu in 1967 by a Japanese expedition team.

The Manaslu Circuit Trek is a well-managed and developed trekking trail of Nepal. The trail is mixed with glacier, green forest, valley & villages, mountain region. The highest point of the trek is Larke La Pass, which stands at 5,160m from the sea leave. The teahouse style (Hotel to Hotel) trekking is popular in this region. However, some of the natural enthauist choose to go through camping style (Tent to tent) trekking.

The people of the region are from different ethnic group with own unique tradition, culture and values. This is what make the cultural aspects of the region are also good enough to explore. The people’s typical language, traditional dress and foods are always remarkable to every traveller. Samagaun and Samdo two villages, which are nearly, close to Tibetan border. So, the culture and lifestyle of the people are more likely similar to Tibetan people. But the other part of the trek is typical Nepali people like Bharmin, Cheetri, Magar and Gurung. The people’s hospitality and their welcoming nature are divine.

Our 16 Days Manaslu Circuit Trek begins by sightseeing at Kathmandu Valley. We offer you to visit UNESCO World Heritage sites with a professional tour guide. Also, we spend a day to introduce trekking guide, porter and necessaries staff with you all trekking member here at Kathamandu. In this day your guide gives a short trekking briefing and gear check.

  • Day 02: A short briefing and trekking gear check with presence of your trekking guide
  • Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Sotikhola via Arughat
  • Day 04: Trek from Sotikhola to Machha Khola 800m 4-5 hr
  • Day 05: Trek from MachhaKhola to Jagat 1,370m 5-6 hr
  • Day 06: Trek from Jagat to Philim 1,570m 5-6 hr
  • Day 07: Trek from Philim to Deng 1,865m 4-5 hr
  • Day 08: Trek from Deng to Ghap 2,165m4-5 hr
  • Day 09: Trek from Ghap to Lho 3,180m5-6 hr
  • Day 10: Trek from Lho to Samagaun 3,525m 5-6 hr
  • Day 11: Acclimatization day at Samagaun, explore Tibetan culture and Monastery
  • Day 12: Trek from Samagaun to samdo 3,850m 3-4 hr
  • Day 13: Trek from Samdo to Bhimthang 3,590m via crossing Larkey La pass (5,116m)
  • Day 14: Trek from Bhimthang to Dharapani 1,860m5-6 hr
  • Day 15: Drive back from Dharapani to Besisahar 5-6 hr
  • Day 16: Drive back from Besisahar to Kathmandu 5-6 hr
