Pikey peak (4067) trek is recently becoming famous destination, the closest alternate to crowded Everest trek. The trek attracts us by various culture of different ethnic people and the majestic Himalayan scenery. While it offers the magnificent view of mt. Everest, Makalu, Manaslu, Kanchenjunga more breathtaking panoramic views including sun rise.

The trail passes through authentic ethnic villages and monasteries, flora-faunas following the beaten trails.

One thing is we can assure that the Pikey Peak in the lower Everest region is absolutely the best view point to see the Mt. Everest southern. Another best reason of this trek is there are multiple options to get access flexible itinerary and more choices of transportation whether choose driving or flight to the trekking trail ahead. The trek starts with scenic flight or driving east of Kathmandu for the short a weekend.

  • Day 03: Trek from Dhap to Jhapre (2815m) 5 hrs
  • Day 04: Trek from Jhapre to Pikey Base Camp (3640m) 5hrs
  • Day 05: summit pikey peak (4067m) & descend to Jasmane Bhanjyang (3530m) 7hrs
  • Day 06: Trek from Jasmane to Junbesi Village (2700m) 6hrs
  • Day 07: Trek from Junbesi to Phaplu (2413m) 6hrs
  • Day 08: Drive from Phaplu to Kathmandu - 8hrs
  • Day 09: Final Departure

A warm welcome to mountainous country, Nepal. Our representative will be standby to greet you upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport to welcome and assist you to transfer to your hotel. After your refreshment time in hotel, we will meet again in the evening for a welcome dinner during which you can savor authentic Nepali cuisine and get a taste of the adventure that lies ahead.  Additionally, Our team will brief you about the upcoming trips and overnight at the hotel.

    After break we go for a long drive today. Taking Jeep we follow the road along the banks of the Sunkoshi River until you reach Ghurmi Village. Along the way, you can sit back and admire the constantly changing Nepali countryside of dense forests, terraced rice fields, and numerous gushing rivers. You eventually reach Dhap Bazaar where you spent overnight.

      After having a delicious breakfast in the teahouse in Dhap, we will follow a gradual uphill route to Jhapre to stay overnight there. The first village you will encounter is Singane. Singane is around 6 km away from Dhap Village, where you can have your lunch and take a rest for some time. 

      With a refreshing lunch, we need to trek for an additional 2-3 hours to reach Jhapre Phokte Danda. From there, we can view Mount Everest and many other mountains like Numbur from a panoramic view. During the trek, we will pass through charming villages and colourful gompas (Buddhist monasteries).

        As the trail continues, we pass accross meadows and ridgelines, offering excellent views of mountain peaks along the mani stone wall, Buddhist monasteries, and small cheese factories. The trek then takes the route below Tapting Danda through the lush rhododendron forest. Then, you will stop at Bhulbhule, where you can have some tea, coffee, and snacks.

        After trekking for a couple of hours, we will then be at Lamjura Danda for lunch. Here, you can rest and have a delicious lunch. From this point the grail follows a sloppy uphill route which takes about 3-4 hours to get to Pikey Peak Base Camp. Overnight in the tented Camp.

          If the climatic condition favors, we start to trek early morning to catch the sunrise view on top of the pikey peak. The short but steep climb reward you  with the aweinspiring sunrise view over mountains like, Mt. Everest (8848m), Number Chuli (6959m), Thamserku (6608m), Kangtega (6685m), Khatang (6853m), Kanchenjunga (8586m), Manaslu (8163m), Dhaulagiri (8167m), Gaurishankar (7134m), Dorje Lakpa (6966m) and Langtang. After taking in the extensive panorama from Pikey Peak we will descend to Jase Bhnajyang and rest.

            After having a satiating breakfast at the teahouse in Jasmane Bhanjyang, we will start descending to Junebesi Village, a charming Sherpa village. Junbesi is home to the Thubten Chholing Monastery, where trekkers can witness Buddhist rituals and interact with monks.

            The trek route meanders through the jungle route up to Taktor Village. You will be having lunch at Taktor for today. Also, you can visit the Taktor monastery while your lunch is being prepared.
            Thereafter, we will continue our trek to Junbesi for 1 or 2 hours. Finally, after reaching Junbesi, you can enjoy the warm hospitality of a teahouse, where you can take a rest and savour a delicious meal.

              After breakfast, you will follow the descending dusty trail along the Junbesi Khola until reaching a steel suspension bridge. After crossing the bridge you will reach Beni Ghat. You will continue your walk along the trail filled with scenic pleasures before reaching Phaplu. At Phaplu we can sample the local cuisine and drink while taking part in a traditional Sherpa cultural event.

                Drive from Phaplu to Kathmandu with a regular sumo jeep. Upon arrival at Kathmandu, transfer to the hotel. In the evening farewell dinner at an authentic Nepali restaurant with Nepali cuisine.

                  As per you ticket schedule, our team representative escorts you to the TIA airport for your onward journey.
