Early Life & Education
Jiban completed his early education in his village in Taplejung before moving to Kathmandu for higher studies, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Sociology. His academic background has strengthened his understanding of people, communities, cultures, and social relationships—valuable qualities in the tourism and hospitality industry.
Journey into Adventure Tourism
Inspired by his brothers, Anil Bhattarai and Moti Bhattarai, who have extensive experience in Nepal's trekking and mountaineering industry, Jiban developed a strong passion for the Himalayan adventure sector.
He began his professional career as a staff member at a trekking company, gaining hands-on experience in trekking operations, guest services, trip preparation, logistics, team coordination, and adventure travel management. Through continuous learning and field experience, he developed a comprehensive understanding of how trekking and mountaineering programs are planned, organized, and successfully executed.
Trekking & Himalayan Experience
Driven by his passion for the mountains, Jiban obtained his Trekking Guide License and expanded his expertise through firsthand experience across Nepal's Himalayan regions. As a trekking guide, he explored the Everest, Kanchenjunga, Langtang, and Annapurna regions, gaining valuable knowledge of mountain environments, trekking routes, local communities, and high-altitude conditions.
He has also successfully climbed Mardi Himal and Island Peak, further strengthening his practical understanding of high-altitude trekking, peak climbing, expedition operations, and mountain logistics.
His experience in the field has shaped his professional philosophy: “Plan carefully, work together, and be prepared for every situation.” Having experienced the realities and challenges of Himalayan travel firsthand, he brings a practical and field-oriented perspective to administration and logistics management.
